Strategy activation is when an organization’s strategy is alive in every decision — employees’ choices follow the strategy rather than metrics, expedience, or shortcuts. Unlike strategy execution (getting work done), activation ensures the right work is done the right way for the right reasons, influencing thousands of everyday decisions across the organization.
Contextuum transforms your strategic documents into a comprehensive Strategy Schema—a structured representation of your strategic principles, priorities, trade-offs, and decision-making frameworks. This isn’t a simplification of your strategy; it’s a complete capture of your strategic thinking.
Team Members then engage with this Strategy Schema through integrated modules:
Strategy Introduction: A foundational learning experience where employees work through up to 35 scenario-based questions that introduce them to your Strategy Schema’s key components. This isn’t passive reading—they’re actively applying strategic concepts to realistic situations from the start.
Praxis Module: Once employees complete the Strategy Introduction, they unlock Praxis—a set of AI-powered tools where they solve and think through their actual work challenges using the strategy to guide their thinking. Currently available: Solve a Problem and Make a Decision. Coming soon: Choose Between Competing Priorities and AMA (Ask Me Anything).
Refresh Module: Designed for leaders and executives who participated in (or should have participated in) the strategy creation process. The Refresh Module recreates key aspects of the strategy retreat experience—exploring future scenarios you considered, revisiting the long-term visioning process, backcasting from long-term goals to near-term milestones, analyzing the competitive environment, and working through the strategic choices you made.
Here’s what makes this powerful: every interaction uses your Strategy Schema as the context and guide. None of Contextuum offers generic strategic thinking—it is always helping to build “muscle memory” of applying your specific strategic principles and priorities.
The Strategy Schema is a structured data model that captures the complete context of your strategic thinking. It’s organized across multiple setup steps and includes: Strategic foundations (mission, vision, values, strategic principles), Strategic choices (what you’ve chosen to do, what you’ve deliberately chosen NOT to do, and why), Strategic priorities (your key focus areas and how they relate to each other), Decision-making frameworks (how to evaluate trade-offs, weigh competing priorities, and make strategic choices), Context and reasoning (the thinking behind your strategic decisions, alternatives you considered, and assumptions you’re making), and Strategic guidelines (how your leadership wants people to interact with the strategy and make decisions, derived from the Leadership Strategic Interview in Part 2 of setup).
This structured representation allows Contextuum’s AI to guide employees through strategic decision-making in ways that align precisely with your organization’s unique strategy. It’s not a generic framework—it’s your strategy, made actionable and query-able.
The platform is designed to be flexible. You can start with minimal inputs—even just your website, core values, value proposition, and basic supporting documentation—and the platform will work surprisingly well. You can then refine and expand your Strategy Schema over time as you work through the complete setup process. While completing the full schema provides the richest experience, it’s not required to get meaningful results.
The Leadership Strategic Interview is Part 2 of the Contextuum setup process, and it’s critical for translating strategy into daily behavior.
Here’s why it matters: Your strategy might be clear, but how do you want people to interact with that strategy when they face real decisions? The strategic guidelines that emerge from this interview can mean the difference between an employee bringing a problem to their manager (because you prefer collaborative decision-making) versus solving it independently and asking for forgiveness later (because you value autonomy), or a team escalating a customer issue (because customer relationships are sacred) versus making a judgment call on the spot (because you trust frontline decisions), or someone sticking rigidly to a process (because consistency matters in your context) versus improvising a solution (because flexibility is a competitive advantage).
During the Leadership Strategic Interview, your top leader (CEO, founder, executive director) answers questions about: How they want people to make decisions when the answer isn’t obvious, What kinds of risks they want people to take versus escalate, How they balance competing values when they conflict, and What “bringing our strategy to life” actually looks like behaviorally. Many of the questions push the leader to decide what they value most when both are compelling. For example, is speed more important than quality? Is frugality more critical than specificity? How far should we go in customizing the product to close a big deal?
These responses generate strategic guidelines that become part of your Strategy Schema. When employees use Praxis tools, these guidelines shape the AI’s guidance—helping employees understand not just what the strategy says, but how leadership wants them to apply it.
This interview should be conducted by your top leader, even if a consultant handled the initial strategy setup. The strategic guidelines need to reflect the leader’s actual decision-making philosophy and preferences. A consultant can’t authentically answer “How do I want people to behave when facing uncertainty?”
Strategy Radar is what transforms Contextuum from a strategy activation tool into a strategic dynamism platform. This is the critical difference.
Most strategy tools help you deploy strategy to your organization, but they’re one-way systems. Strategy Radar creates a two-way feedback loop: Contextuum helps employees internalize your current strategy while simultaneously providing you with intelligence about when that strategy needs to evolve.
Here’s how it works: Strategy Radar aggregates anonymized data from employee interactions in the Praxis Module—what problems they’re solving, what decisions they’re making, what tensions they’re encountering—and combines it with external data from news, web sources, and other inputs you configure.
The dashboard surfaces patterns and signals that might indicate your strategy needs iteration. For example: If many employees are encountering the same type of problem that your strategy doesn’t address well, Strategy Radar flags that pattern. If external market conditions are shifting in ways that challenge your strategic assumptions, Strategy Radar highlights those signals. If certain strategic principles are rarely being applied, that might indicate they’re not resonating or need clarification.
As Strategy Radar evolves, it will be able to integrate with your OKR platforms, KPI dashboards, and other execution tools via APIs, combining employee experience data with performance metrics to provide comprehensive strategic intelligence.
This creates strategic dynamism: You can iterate on your strategy within the platform based on these signals, and every subsequent employee interaction immediately uses the updated strategy as context. Your strategy becomes living and adaptive rather than static.
Strategy Radar is currently in development and will be available soon.
Praxis is Contextuum’s practice environment where employees apply your Strategy Schema to real work challenges. It becomes available after they complete the Strategy Introduction.
Currently available tools:
Solve a Problem: Employees describe a problem they’re facing, and the AI guides them through strategic problem-solving using your Strategy Schema as context. This is a co-thinking tool, not an answer machine. It helps employees frame problems strategically, identify potential solutions, calibrate their confidence levels in those solutions, anticipate consequences through second and third order thinking about possible downstream issues, and refine their own critical thinking ability by distinguishing their assumptions, biases, and blind spots. The tool takes into account not just analytic frameworks, but also psychosocial factors, power dynamics, and emotional states that influence problem-solving in organizational contexts.
Make a Decision: Employees describe a decision they need to make, and the AI helps them evaluate options through a strategic lens. Like Solve a Problem, this is a co-thinking tool that helps employees weigh trade-offs, consider strategic implications, calibrate confidence in their choices, anticipate downstream consequences, and surface their own assumptions and biases. It accounts for the full complexity of organizational decision-making, including psychosocial dynamics and power structures, not just rational analysis.
Coming soon:
Choose Between Competing Priorities: Employees input multiple priorities or projects they’re juggling, and the AI helps them determine which should take precedence based on your strategy’s priorities and trade-off frameworks.
AMA (Ask Me Anything): Employees can ask any question about the strategy or about any aspect of their work or job, and the AI engages with them through the context of the strategy schema. They can interrogate their projects, consider different approaches, learn more about how to refine their strategic thinking, or inquire into whether they are making the right decisions with respect to a specific goal. The AI acts as a Socratic interlocketer–asking probing questions, pointing out new ways of looking at things, and helping the user to become a better thinker and strategist in their current (or prospective) role. Unlike generic AI assistants, AMA is driven by your strategic context, not generic knowledge-based context. This will likely become the go-to tool for issues and queries that don’t fit neatly into the other modules.
Each tool uses your unique Strategy Schema—including the strategic guidelines from your Leadership Strategic Interview—as the frame of reference, ensuring every interaction reinforces your specific strategic principles and decision-making approaches.
The Refresh Module is designed for leaders and executives who participated in (or should have participated in) the strategy creation process—your strategy retreat, offsite, or distributed co-creation sessions.
Unlike the Strategy Introduction (which introduces employees to the final strategy), the Refresh Module recreates the strategy creation experience itself. It can include: Multiple future scenarios you considered during planning, The long-term visioning process that shaped your strategic choices, Backcasting key results and milestones from long-term goals to near-term priorities, Analysis of the competitive environment and how it influenced your choices, Strategic alternatives you evaluated and ultimately rejected, and The reasoning and debate that led to final strategic decisions.
It also offers the opportunity to make new or different choices than were made initially. So, after completing the Refresh module, a team may suggest updating an aspect of the strategy, or tweaking the value proposition. Those suggestions can then be considered by the full strategy team.
This serves two critical purposes:
For those who were there: The Refresh Module reinforces the deep strategic thinking that happened during the creation process. Strategy retreats generate insights and shared understanding that fade over time. Regular engagement with Refresh helps leadership maintain the richness of strategic context that emerged during those intensive sessions. It also re-presences the rationale for the main choices and asks if they are still the best choices now.
For those who missed it: When a new executive joins after the strategy retreat, or when a board member wants to understand not just what you decided but how you arrived at those decisions, the Refresh Module provides a facsimile of that experience. They engage with the same scenarios, explore the same alternatives, and understand the same trade-offs that the original strategy cohort wrestled with.
The Refresh Module can be deployed in multiple ways: Facilitator-led (a leader or external facilitator guides the executive team), Self-serve (individual) where individual executives work through Refresh content on their own schedule, or Self-serve (group) where executive teams facilitate themselves through the Refresh experience using guided content.
This ensures that the depth of strategic thinking achieved during the creation process doesn’t dissipate, and that new members of the leadership team can participate in the strategic conversation at the same level as those who were there from the beginning.
The biggest challenge after strategic planning isn’t the strategy itself—it’s ensuring everyone actually understands it, internalizes it, and applies it to daily work. Most strategies fail not because they’re bad strategies, but because they never make it from the offsite to the front lines.
Here’s what you should do with Contextuum:
Step 1: Build your Strategy Schema – Upload your strategic documents from the offsite (strategic priorities, business plans, frameworks, decision criteria, future scenarios you explored) and work through Contextuum’s setup process. You can start with minimal inputs and refine over time, or complete the comprehensive setup for the richest experience.
Step 2: Complete the Leadership Strategic Interview – Have your top leader complete the Leadership Strategic Interview to generate strategic guidelines. These guidelines translate strategy into behavioral expectations and decision-making preferences.
Step 3: Deploy Strategy Introduction to employees – Share the Strategy Introduction module with your team. This engages them with your Strategy Schema through up to 35 scenario-based questions that build foundational understanding.
Step 4: Enable the Praxis Module – Once employees complete the Strategy Introduction, they access Praxis tools to practice applying the strategy to their actual work scenarios.
Step 5: Use Refresh Module with your leadership team – Schedule regular Refresh sessions for your executive team and board members. These sessions recreate the strategy creation experience, keeping the depth of strategic thinking alive.
Step 6: Share with board members and investors – Use Contextuum to communicate your strategy to your board and investors. They can explore the Strategy Schema at their own pace.
Step 7: Monitor Strategy Radar (when available) – Use the Strategy Radar dashboard to track aggregated insights and identify early signals that your strategy might need adjustment.
This approach ensures your strategy doesn’t become shelfware. It becomes a living, practiced capability across your organization.
Contextuum is currently free during the Beta phase. We’re actively gathering feedback from early users to refine the platform before commercial launch.
After commercial launch, pricing will be designed to be accessible to organizations of all sizes—providing ongoing value rather than a one-time deliverable. Pricing will remain lower than most standard SaaS tools, and early users will always be given preferential pricing for the life of the product.
During the Beta phase, you get full access to all features at no cost, and your feedback directly shapes how the platform evolves. No credit card required, no commitment, no risk
Initial Setup: You can create a working Strategy Schema in as little as 15-30 minutes by uploading existing strategic documents. The platform will work surprisingly well even with this minimal setup. If you want to capture the full depth of your strategic thinking, the comprehensive setup process typically takes several hours spread across multiple sessions—but you can do this iteratively over time.
Leadership Strategic Interview: Part 2 of setup typically takes 30-45 minutes for your top leader to complete. This generates the strategic guidelines that help employees understand how to apply the strategy in practice.
Deployment: Once your Strategy Schema is ready, deployment to employees is immediate. Simply share the Strategy Introduction link. There’s no IT integration, no software installation, no complex configuration.
Employee Time: Strategy Introduction takes employees 20-45 minutes depending on how thoroughly they engage with the scenario-based questions. Praxis tools are on-demand—employees use them when they face real problems or decisions, so there’s no separate time to schedule. Each Praxis interaction typically takes 10-20 minutes.
Leadership Refresh: Refresh sessions for executives can be scheduled as needed—quarterly, semi-annually, or when new executives join. Individual self-serve Refresh typically takes 45-60 minutes; facilitated group sessions typically run 90-120 minutes.
Ongoing Maintenance: You can update your Strategy Schema at any time, and changes propagate immediately to all employee interactions. Monitoring Strategy Radar (when available) can be as hands-on or hands-off as you prefer.
Total organizational investment: Most organizations are fully deployed within a few days from deciding to use Contextuum to having employees actively practicing with the strategy.
None. Contextuum is designed to operate without requiring dedicated staff.
Once you’ve built your Strategy Schema, the platform runs itself: Employees access Strategy Introduction and Praxis Module on their own schedule, Refresh Module can be self-serve or facilitated by existing executives, Strategy Radar (when available) aggregates data automatically, and Updates to your Strategy Schema can be made by anyone with appropriate permissions (typically a strategy leader or executive team member).
Compare this to traditional strategy deployment approaches that often require: Training coordinators to schedule and manage workshops, Facilitators to lead sessions, Communications staff to create and distribute materials, and Program managers to track completion and engagement.
Contextuum eliminates these staffing needs while actually providing better strategy activation results.
No. Contextuum is designed to be valuable for organizations of all sizes.
Large enterprises benefit from Contextuum’s ability to ensure consistent strategic understanding across thousands of employees, multiple locations, and complex organizational structures. Strategy Radar becomes particularly powerful at scale, where pattern detection across large employee populations provides rich strategic intelligence.
Mid-sized companies often struggle with the transition from “everyone knows the strategy because we all sit together” to “we’re big enough that strategy communication is a real challenge.” Contextuum helps you professionalize your strategy activation as you grow, without requiring expensive consulting engagements or dedicated training staff.
Small businesses and startups benefit from Contextuum’s ability to help everyone think like a founder, even as the organization grows beyond the core team. When you bring on your tenth, twentieth, or fiftieth employee, Contextuum ensures they understand not just what to do, but how to think strategically about decisions in your specific context.
Sole proprietors and consultants can use Contextuum to clarify and structure their own strategic thinking, making it easier to communicate their approach to clients, partners, or future employees. The process of building a Strategy Schema often surfaces strategic clarity that was previously only implicit.
The key question isn’t company size—it’s whether you have a strategy that you need people to internalize and apply. If the answer is yes, Contextuum can help.
We take data security seriously. Here are our key commitments:
Your strategy content is yours: The Strategy Schema you create and all strategic content you upload remains your proprietary information. We don’t use it to train AI models, and we don’t share it with other organizations.
Employee data is anonymized: When Strategy Radar aggregates data about employee interactions, it’s fully anonymized. We track patterns across your organization, not individual employee behavior. You see insights about what challenges your sales team is facing, not what specific individuals are struggling with.
Industry-standard security: We implement industry-standard security practices including encryption in transit and at rest, secure authentication, and regular security audits.
Access controls: You maintain full control over who can access your Strategy Schema, who can update it, and what employee data you want to review in Strategy Radar.
Data residency: During the Alpha/Beta phase, we’re working with early users to understand specific data residency requirements for different industries and geographies. If you have specific compliance needs (GDPR, HIPAA, SOC 2, etc.), let us know and we’ll work with you.
Transparency: If you have specific security or privacy questions, we’re happy to discuss our practices in detail. During Alpha/Beta, we’re especially responsive to user feedback about security and privacy requirements.
Absolutely not. Your Strategy Schema is completely private to your organization.
Each organization’s Contextuum instance is isolated. There’s no shared space where strategies from different companies are visible, no directory of who’s using Contextuum, and no way for one organization to access another organization’s strategic content.
You control who has access to your Strategy Schema. You can share it with employees, board members, investors, and partners as you choose—but it’s never visible to anyone outside your explicitly granted permissions.
This is fundamentally different from public strategy communication like investor presentations or annual reports. Contextuum is a private workspace for strategic thinking and activation within your organization.
Not quite. Most strategy management tools focus on one of three things:
Strategy creation tools help you build strategy through frameworks, templates, and planning processes. Contextuum can capture the output of these processes but doesn’t replace them.
Strategy execution tools (like OKR platforms and KPI dashboards) help you cascade strategy through metrics, track progress, and ensure alignment to goals. These tools are essential for measuring whether you’re executing well. Metrics matter, and they’re a critical part of successful strategy execution. Contextuum will eventually integrate with these tools so that Strategy Radar can combine employee experience data with performance metrics.
Strategy communication tools help you share strategy through presentations, documents, and portals. These are typically one-way broadcast mechanisms.
Contextuum is different. It’s a strategy activation and dynamism platform. It answers two questions simultaneously: (1) Do our people understand the strategy well enough to apply it to novel situations? (activation) and (2) Is our strategy working, and when does it need to evolve? (dynamism)
The closest analogies might be: A flight simulator for strategic thinking—employees practice in a safe environment before facing real high-stakes situations, A two-way feedback system—you push strategy out while pulling strategic intelligence back in, or A living strategy document—it evolves based on implementation reality rather than becoming instantly outdated.
Think of it this way: execution tools tell you whether you’re hitting your targets. Contextuum tells you whether your people can think strategically and whether your strategy itself needs adjustment. Both are necessary. Together, they’re powerful.
This is exactly what Contextuum is designed for. Most organizations treat strategy as static—you create it, communicate it, and hope it stays relevant until the next planning cycle. But markets shift, competitors move, and new information emerges constantly.
Contextuum makes strategy evolution natural:
Update your Strategy Schema: When your strategy changes, you simply update the relevant fields in your Strategy Schema. This might be refining a priority, adjusting a decision-making framework, or adding a new strategic principle based on what you’ve learned.
Changes propagate immediately: Once you update the Strategy Schema, every subsequent employee interaction uses the updated strategy as context. There’s no lag, no need to schedule new training sessions, no communication campaign required.
Track evolution over time: You can see how your strategy has evolved, what changed and when, and understand the reasoning behind strategic iterations. This creates valuable institutional memory.
Strategy Radar drives iteration: Rather than waiting for annual planning cycles to realize your strategy needs adjustment, Strategy Radar provides continuous feedback. When it surfaces patterns suggesting your strategy needs refinement, you can act on that intelligence in real-time.
This is what we mean by strategic dynamism. Your strategy becomes living and adaptive rather than static. You maintain strategic consistency while gaining strategic flexibility.
Board buy-in requires more than presenting slides—it requires helping board members understand the full context of your strategic thinking. They need to know not just what you decided, but why you decided it, what alternatives you considered, and what you deliberately chose not to do.
Contextuum achieves this by making your Strategy Schema explorable. Instead of sitting through a presentation where they might not feel comfortable asking questions, board members can engage with your strategy on their own time, diving deeper into areas that interest or concern them.
Benefits: Board members come to meetings already informed and can focus discussions on strategic implications rather than basic comprehension. They develop richer understanding of your strategic reasoning, which builds confidence in your leadership. They can see the full landscape of what you considered and rejected, which helps them understand why certain paths weren’t chosen. They can engage with the Refresh Module to understand the strategy creation process itself—the scenarios you explored, the competitive analysis you conducted, and the trade-offs you evaluated. As your strategy evolves based on Strategy Radar signals, board members can see what changed and why.
This transforms board communication from periodic presentations to ongoing strategic dialogue.
Coming soon: A dedicated module specifically designed for communicating strategy to boards, investors, and other stakeholder audiences, with content and interactions tailored to their specific needs and perspectives.
Contextuum complements strategy consulting rather than replacing it. Many organizations work with consultants to develop their strategy, and Contextuum transforms that consultant-created strategy from a deliverable into a living platform.
Here’s how organizations typically use Contextuum with consultants:
Consultants create the strategy; Contextuum activates it: After your consulting engagement concludes, upload the strategic frameworks, priorities, and recommendations into Contextuum. The platform transforms those deliverables into an interactive Strategy Schema that your organization can actually use on an ongoing basis.
Consultants can deploy Contextuum for clients: We actively encourage consultants to use Contextuum and input their clients’ strategy on behalf of clients for ongoing activation. In fact, consultants are often the best Contextuum deployers because they deeply understand the strategy they helped create and can ensure the Strategy Schema captures the full richness of strategic thinking that emerged during the engagement.
Consultants provide ongoing value: Rather than delivering a document and leaving, consultants who use Contextuum can provide ongoing value by helping clients refine their Strategy Schema, facilitating Refresh sessions with leadership teams, and helping interpret Strategy Radar insights to guide strategic iteration.
Complete the Leadership Strategic Interview regardless: Even if a consultant handles the initial strategy setup, your top leader should complete the Leadership Strategic Interview. The strategic guidelines need to reflect the leader’s actual decision-making philosophy and preferences—something a consultant can’t authentically provide.
The combination of consultant expertise in strategy creation and Contextuum’s capabilities in strategy activation and dynamism provides the best of both worlds: rigorous strategic thinking backed by sustainable implementation.
This is one of the most common and frustrating challenges leaders face. You’ve invested time in strategic planning, communicated through town halls and presentations, distributed documents, and yet employees still make decisions that seem disconnected from strategy. Why?
The problem is the gap between understanding and application. Employees might intellectually understand what the strategy says, but they haven’t built the muscle memory to apply it instinctively when faced with real decisions. Strategic thinking is a skill, and like any skill, it requires practice—not just exposure.
Think about learning to drive. You can read the manual, watch videos, and attend lectures about driving, but none of that prepares you to actually drive until you get behind the wheel and practice. Strategy is the same. Employees need to practice applying strategic thinking to real scenarios, make mistakes in a safe environment, and build the instincts that allow strategic decisions to become automatic.
Additionally, employees often don’t understand the strategic guidelines—how leadership wants them to apply the strategy in practice. Should they escalate this decision or make it themselves? Should they stick to the process or improvise? These behavioral expectations are often implicit rather than explicit.
Contextuum solves both problems by providing the practice environment through Strategy Introduction and Praxis Module, and by making strategic guidelines explicit through the Leadership Strategic Interview. Employees work through realistic problems and decisions using your Strategy Schema—including both the strategy itself and the guidelines for how to apply it—as their guide. They build genuine strategic muscle memory, not just intellectual understanding.
This is why Contextuum focuses on activation, not just communication. Communication gets the strategy into people’s heads. Activation gets it into their hands and instincts.
This is a perfect example of the strategic intelligence that Strategy Radar provides.
When your sales team uses Praxis Module to work through challenges—whether that’s objections they’re hearing, deals they’re losing, or decisions about discounting—Strategy Radar aggregates anonymized data about the patterns they’re encountering.
If many salespeople are struggling with the same pricing objection and finding that the Strategy Schema doesn’t provide a compelling response, Strategy Radar will surface that pattern. This gives you evidence that the pricing concern might be valid and worth investigating further.
On the other hand, if the data shows that some salespeople are successfully handling pricing objections using the strategy while others aren’t, that suggests a capability gap rather than a fundamental pricing problem.
When Strategy Radar integrates with your sales performance metrics, you’ll be able to correlate these patterns with actual results—seeing whether pricing objections are correlated with lost deals, or whether salespeople who engage more deeply with strategic problem-solving tools close more business.
This is the power of having a two-way system. Contextuum helps your sales team practice strategic responses to objections, while simultaneously giving you intelligence about whether your strategy is working in the field. You get early signals about potential problems before they become crises, and you can make data-informed decisions about whether to adjust strategy, provide more capability building through additional practice, or take other action.
Contextuum is ideal for organizations facing any of these challenges:
You have a strategy but struggle with execution – If your strategy is sound but employees aren’t applying it consistently, Contextuum closes the gap between strategy as concept and strategy as practice.
You need strategic dynamism – If you want your strategy to be adaptive rather than static, Strategy Radar provides the intelligence you need to iterate based on real implementation feedback and external signals.
You’re undergoing transformation or change – If your organization is shifting direction, entering new markets, or changing business models, Contextuum helps everyone understand and internalize the new strategic direction quickly.
You have distributed or remote teams – If employees work across multiple locations or remotely, Contextuum ensures consistent strategic understanding without requiring everyone to attend the same sessions.
You have high turnover or rapid growth – If you’re frequently onboarding new employees or executives, Contextuum provides a scalable way to transfer strategic context without relying on tribal knowledge. The Refresh Module ensures new executives can participate in the strategic conversation at the same depth as those who were there from the beginning.
You want to improve board and investor communication – If you struggle to get board buy-in or keep investors informed about your strategic thinking, Contextuum provides an interactive way to share strategy that goes deeper than presentations.
You want early signals about when strategy needs adjustment – If you want to know whether your strategy is working before problems become crises, Strategy Radar provides the intelligence you need.
You want strategy to stay fresh over time – If you’ve experienced strategy fading from daily decision-making months after launch, the ongoing practice through Praxis and periodic Refresh sessions keep strategic thinking alive.
You work with strategy consultants – If you’ve invested in consultant-led strategy development and want to maximize the value of that investment through ongoing activation rather than letting deliverables gather dust.
Contextuum works for organizations of all sizes, though it’s particularly valuable for mid-sized to large companies where strategy communication becomes challenging due to organizational complexity.
Absolutely. While employee strategy activation is the primary use case, Contextuum is designed to help you share strategy with multiple audiences:
Board of Directors – Help board members understand not just what you decided, but why, and what you chose not to do. They can engage with the Refresh Module to understand the strategy creation process—the scenarios you explored, the competitive analysis you conducted, and the strategic alternatives you evaluated. This leads to more productive board discussions and better strategic oversight.
Investors – Keep investors informed about your strategic thinking and how it evolves over time. Investors appreciate transparency and context, and Contextuum provides both. Strategy Radar also helps you demonstrate that you’re monitoring strategy effectiveness and iterating based on evidence.
New Executives – Onboard new leaders quickly by giving them access to the full strategic context, not just the current plan. They can practice applying the strategy through Praxis and engage with Refresh Module to experience the strategy creation process they missed.
Cross-Functional Teams – Ensure that teams across different departments share common strategic understanding and can collaborate effectively on strategic initiatives.
External Partners – In some cases, you might want strategic partners or key vendors to understand your strategy so they can align their work with your goals. Contextuum allows you to share appropriate levels of strategic context with external stakeholders.
Strategy Consultants – Consultants can use Contextuum to provide ongoing value to clients after the strategy creation engagement concludes, helping activate and iterate on the strategies they helped develop.
Coming soon: A dedicated module specifically designed for different stakeholder audiences (investors, board members, partners), with content and interactions tailored to their specific needs and perspectives rather than the employee-focused Strategy Introduction.
The platform is flexible enough to support all these use cases while maintaining appropriate access controls and permissions.
The key difference is Strategy Radar’s feedback loop.
An activation tool is one-way: it helps you deploy strategy to your organization, but it doesn’t tell you whether that strategy is working or needs adjustment. You activate people’s understanding, then hope for the best.
A strategic dynamism platform is two-way: it helps you deploy strategy while simultaneously providing intelligence about whether that strategy needs to evolve. This creates adaptive strategy rather than static strategy.
Strategy Radar aggregates anonymized data from employee interactions (what problems they’re encountering, what decisions they’re making, what strategic tensions are emerging) and combines it with external signals (market changes, competitive moves, regulatory shifts). Eventually, it will also integrate with your internal tools via APIs—pulling in data from your OKR platform, CRM, project management systems, and other sources. This gives you early warning when your strategy might need iteration.
When you iterate on your strategy within Contextuum, every subsequent employee interaction immediately uses the updated Strategy Schema. Your strategy becomes living and adaptive rather than a document that quickly becomes outdated.
Contextuum collects anonymized, aggregated data about how employees engage with your Strategy Schema:
– Patterns in the problems they’re trying to solve
– Types of decisions they’re making
– Strategic tensions they’re encountering
– Areas of your strategy they’re applying frequently versus rarely
– Questions they’re asking about the strategy
– How they’re calibrating confidence in their decisions
– What second and third order consequences they’re anticipating
This data is anonymized and aggregated—we’re looking for patterns across your organization, not tracking individual employees. The data is used exclusively for Strategy Radar intelligence to help you understand whether your strategy is working and where it might need adjustment.
You maintain full control over your Strategy Schema and the strategic content you’ve created. Contextuum doesn’t use your proprietary strategy content to train models or share it with other organizations.
Currently, Contextuum is a standalone platform. We’ve designed it this way intentionally to minimize setup time and eliminate IT complexity.
However, Strategy Radar is being developed with API integration capabilities, allowing you to connect:
– OKR platforms and KPI dashboards to combine strategic thinking data with performance metrics
– Internal tools (CRM, project management, communication platforms) to enrich strategic intelligence
– Specific external data sources you choose for monitoring market conditions, competitive moves, or industry trends
This will provide richer strategic intelligence tailored to your organization’s unique context.
If there are specific integrations that would make Contextuum more valuable for your organization, we’d love to hear about them during the Beta phase. Your feedback directly shapes our development priorities
